The black rim picture thread

found these at a local junkyard, took them off of a chevy tahoe.

 

Nice Vrod! Did not know Chevy has same bolt pattern!

Here is my setup:

 

yes, same bolt pattern, but needed 1.5 wheel spacers to clear.

Man those center caps look sweet black how you have them. Did you just hit them with spray paint or how did you get them like that?

 

They have a really light red coat. I actually just scraped the red off.

 

I thought about just hitting it with plastidip. That actually woulda saved me a lot more time.

 

Looks damn good, I never was a huge fan of all the red TRD lettering anyhow.

Are you running spacers with those? If so, what size?

 

No spacers

 

I love the Fuel Beast wheels on the Tacoma - are these the 17"? they are heavy - any regrets when it comes to acceleration or braking?

 

What is your suspension and tires specs?

 

Suspension: Factory
Tires: 265/70/17

 

KO2s? how id the ride quality and noise? Does it have the rough ride at slow speeds? Looks like an aggressive tire. Any rubbing issues?

 

Just regular KO's. The KO2 wasnt available locally when i did that. Mine are load range C, to be honest, I cant hardly tell the difference of noise/roughness over the stock Dueller HTs. Also, my previous vehicle ('03 Xterra) was running the same tires and the noise was somewhat noticeable. If I were shopping today, I'd get the KO2 just because I like the new sidewall pattern.

I didn't even think to ask, but what did you scratch off the red trd lettering on your pro wheels with?
