I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but looking at the design, I don't see how the seat bottoms are supposed to stay in place if you slide on them at all.

They fit well and look good, but because there's nothing anchoring them solidly to the seat that prevents them from sliding around (To be clear, they won't come off due to the straps that connect front to back underneath the seat), they can "roll" forward and rotate around the seat. So the top moves forward and the bottom moves back.

I've been in touch with tech support, it's taking a while for each exchange, so we'll see how that goes.

I will point out that I don't have the side straps installed per instructions because then they would wrap around and slide along the seat rail when I move the seat. They are pretty small elastic with little plastic clips so I don't see them performing any other function that holding the sides down for appearance. I don't think they provide any strength in the direction where I have a problem. The main straps front to back are installed and tight.

I'm just wondering if other folks have this problem and/or how they solved it. Frankly, I'm not sure if this is a design or installation issue.

Seat cover bottom copy.jpg I think you need to shove the rear of the bottom seat under the upright portion and tuck until its smooth .Then attach the sides. I installed Neoprenes and now Leatherettes from Coverking. They both went on the same way (although I removed my seats)

That's what I did when I installed them (and a few more times since). What you are looking at is how they end up after a few days of use.

You may have to find a way to keep that seam between the seat and around back. There were straps on my CoverKings on the seams in back to run under the seats and attach to the fronts

I'm a 2nd gen so the seat bracket may be slightly different though I doubt it, but principle should be the same: I'm not sure how you tried to attach the side strap initially, but what has always worked for me in not interfering with the seat rails is you need to tuck all that excess material and the strap down under the seat BEHIND the plastic side trim AND then fasten it. Looks like your side fabric is just hanging out at the moment. I'm guessing the side straps have buckles? If you have to remove the plastic side trim to do it, then do it, but that strap keeps the extra tension on the seat cover and helps.

I've had multiple seat covers before I went to my Wet Okoles and never had an issue.

I threw on my covers in a hurry, but didn't install the hooks. The seat cover went everywhere. After i did the hooks, it definitely improved. Plus i doubt you will be moving the seat enough to jeopardize the straps.

OK, thanks folks. It sounds like the side straps are more important than I thought. I'll try to get them done better/right and see if that helps.
