2 glue traps, 1 to each side of your head. Once you figure out how to get them off, RTFM!!! Regular maintenance is something you do, not something you wish you had done.

 

ive done extensive interior modifications, never seen yellow insulation inside anywhere or debris to indicate their presence.

yes, I dont have a garage, but ive been looking at getting a metal carport recently. this is just another reason for it.

like I said, if I had known that existed I would have, but I was just unaware. *shrugs* I try my best to look after things.

Mine used to get so dirty after 10K miles. I would either change it out or at least give it a tap to knock out some of the debris every time i changed the oil. I visit a lot of jobsites so mine would be caked with dirt and dust. Instead of the OEM replacement, I went ahead and bought the K&N reusable cabin filter figuring it would pay for itself down the line.

 

I have on occasion got mice in the Mustang while storing it for the Winter and they pulled pink insulation from the garage and carried it into the car, so don't be shocked if that yellow insulation came from an outside source.

 

update: went over truck with fine toothed comb, found nothing else and no damaged wiring. glue traps caught nothing as well. I got a can of lysol and hosed down the whole system tho, fed it into the air intakes, blower motor and everywhere on and around the filter housing where all the crap was. should be germ free now. then I put some dryer sheet fragments on the filter, as I read the smell is supposed to help deter them, and placed a sheet under the passenger side seat also. might drop one in the engine compartment somewhere too. will be checking this thing every month from now on.
