The Tacoma TRD Pro will be powered by a 3.5-Liter V6 DOHC 24-valve direct-injection Atkinson-cycle engine with VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing- intelligent Wide) intake and VVT-I exhaust.

Is the above statement true for the 16 TRD OR? does this new Trd pro have a new Trd intake and exhaust?

Nothing I've read indicates the Tacoma PRO will have those.

If they started configuring this truck like Ford did with the Raptor (cab configurations, motor configurations etc) this would be an even bigger circle jerk fest :bananadead:.

16" is fine with me. On the ranch roads that I run more rubber is better than more metal

I'm not a expert at this, a couple pages back someone said the new one is geared 4.10 old one was 3.90 so maybe the auto won't hunt as much and be able to stay in top gear more? Little less mileage for better performance.

Edit: Maybe even better mileage, the auto wouldn't be hunting as much?

Especially when Rigid probably gave these to Toyota for free in exchange for all of the press. Now everyone like you guys are flocking in droves.

So much negativity, too much. The Pro is pretty sweet, and people are going to buy it. I highly doubt @RigidIndustries gave toyota thousands of fog lights for free in exchange for press. Let's be serious. Is it just me, or is Toyota listening, and delivering? There's def a crowd that would rather drive a truck like this off the lot than build it. That said, just like the 15 pro, the tx pro, the baja, (and the other one from '07/'08??) you're going to see these guys around.

Ditto, wondering if TRDUsa will offer an upgraded Pro intake (CAi?) and exhaust upgrades for the '16s as well...

Doubt it all you want. Their name plastered on the front of stock trucks isn't an easy endeavor.

I placed my order for the TRD Pro yesterday shortly after the announcement. My '13 FJ TT was Cement Grey and I really liked the color so that'll be the color of the new truck.

Richard Warren of Nalley Toyota is the sales person helping me out. I purchased my current '16 from him and he made it an easy process.

I've used Richard Wong before and forgot the new guy's name. New guy seems like a very similar personality so we seem to work well together.

Ahhhh, gotcha. So fox must have given away the shocks. And goodyear the tires... Toyota definitely couldn't possibly have gotten a better price from rigid, goodyear, and fox for contracting out thousands of units. Makes sense, just giving them away for press.

Nice to hear. I'd like to get one, too but will be unable to get it until December (currently out of the country for work). Due to the lack of pricing information, I'm curious how the process went with you? Did you just put down a deposit and you'll negotiate price when the info becomes available (seems like a risk)? Also, what about options? Is that info available?

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
For the V6? I thought the 4.3 was only for the 2.7 but I didn't look very close or give much cares :notsure:

Swears specifically said 4.10 and 4.30 in the vid "depending on the transmission" but TBH, I don't think Swears has the slightest idea of what he's talking about. Watch the Facebook vid of the unveiling and watch him try to describe how shocks work

Those are stock specs for the engine. Swears said nothing changed for the engine and when S/C's were brought up he said they don't work with the Atkinson cycle engine or something :notsure:.

In the vid, the exhaust had a big TRD stamped on it but not sure if that's a cat back system or just a tip. The truck in the Arctic vid was just a prototype IIRC and might not reflect 100% the actual release.
