    Yeah I did that to my rockers as well when I bedlined my cab, but I rolled it on. Wasn't sure if the spray on stuff was good enough, sounds like it is.

    For those who used bedliner, do you have any issue with it fading? I used the HF spray and it was gray in a few months

    My monstaliner roll on is still pretty black, but it sucks applying it to tight places.

    Thanks, that's what I was assuming. Found one for $1400 + shipping and thought it was high.

    They could be going up, but that's still a bit high. At that point you might as well get a custom housing, since it gets gutted anyway. That's what I should have done and I only paid $850 for mine.

    Clean really well and scuff. If you want it texturized roll after you roll it on, otherwise it smoothes out pretty good.

    Opinions. 2015 prerunner. Instead of going the regular route for 4wd(IFS crap) I'm thinking just going SAS. Seems to me it makes more sense going that route, and cheaper since I have the fab skillz to make my own 3/4link and so on.

    There are cheap ways to do both, but cheap is a relative term. When I first had the thought of a SAS I set a budget of 15k total, I'm at about 20k in parts at this point. Granted I am building custom housings with top of the line 1 ton everything, the fucking diffs were $2400 each!

    I'm going relatively inexpensive. This thing wont get thrashed on. Probably a run of the mill d44 with a locker and 4.56's. Wont need anything super beefy, still gonna be a daily rig with some off-roading from time to time. I'd just rather have SAS over IFS, and the way I see it with the skills and shop I have it would be cheaper for me in the long run to not have to get all the IFS 4wd parts when I can just throw in a D44 and a steering kit my buddy can get.

    @LunaticConcepts
    I'm new to this, but why put a Dana 44 under a second gen?

    I'd recommend something better than that. Maybe Dana 60? Around here a 60 can be had any day at the junk yard for about $600, doesn't seem that much more and a lot less headache if you ever wheel it harder?

    Idk @LunaticConcepts i think there is a lot that you haven't thought of. Transmission, transfer case, skid or belly pan, coilovers or leafs and shocks, regear front and rear because you're not going to run 265s, oh yeah new tires, driveline modifications, locker, brake lines, rebuild of axle.... I think you're better off just going long travel.
