damn toyota. just another carry over from the original 2nd gen to this 2.5 gen like the driveline vibes that the discount engineers haven't resolved.. it's not just after installing aftermarket suspension that this happens, this happens with stock shit too. mine did it, then it became more noticeable when i went full OME suspension, even with the trim packer in the coil over on the driver side. anyway to the OP, good luck with toyota, likely the final answer will be 'it is a characteristic of the vehicle' reply common to all of their short comings.. if everybody here convinces you to order some new aftermarket leaf springs, probably OME, when ordering insist without compromise that you get one '+' and one '-' spring, '+' on the driver side and '-' on the passenger side during install. the + - is tolerance and variation in ride height the springs will give, they should all be sold this way imo.

my 2014 F150 4x4 with a 2.5 inch lift loaded up seemed to have consistent lean also on the gas tank side. and my 2015 jk has passenger side lean also, which is again the gas tank side.

I only had 5100 to level the front. When I took it in to dealer there was a bone stock truck there with the same issue. I have factory springs.

This is not the usual Taco lean. That only happens with aftermarket springs, this is something else folks...

I have factory springs with 5100s up front and it sits perfectly level. With the amount of lean in your picture it leads me to believe your 5100s are at different settings. Before going to the dealership, make sure the setting are equally the same on both sides and the spring is seated correctly up top.

This is not normal and nor did he say the lean was present prior to the shocks being put on. If Taco lean was that prevalent on 2016 stock trucks don't you think there would've been a a ton of posts about it by now. Someone screwed up the installation on his 5100s.

Second gens had the same issues.

But I'll sit and watch and wait for Toyota.

The lean measures exactly the same on the right side front and rear. And like I stated prior a brand new bone stock truck had the same lean measurements as mine. Therefore I'm confident that the 5100 are at the right setting.

Did you have the lean before installing the 5100s? Did you drive your truck off the lot with this lean when it was brand new?

It's very difficult for us to help diagnose your issue when we only have snippets of information to go on.

Was the lean there prior to install. Did you have the dealer install your 5100s or did you? What setting are they at? What was the measurement prior to install? If the stock truck has the exact measurements as you with your 5100s then that tells me you have 5100s that weren't installed correctly, but you're confident they are at the right setting? How are you confident when a stock truck has the same exact setting as you!?

You do realize the stock coils on the 2016 are different to make up for the lean? I thought the lean on 2nd gens was only present with aftermarket coils. Can someone confirm this or were all 2nd gen owners driving off the lot with a gangsta lean in stock form?

The lean was present before the 5100. And if a stock truck has the same lean then why would one assume the 5100 are not set correctly? That would tell me that the problem was from the factory. A brand new stock truck has the same lean.

mine looked normal off the lot. however, after a couple years it settled ever so slightly. the tsb for the leaf pack a few years ago kinda fixed it (not so noticeable anymore).

Looks like it's quite a bit more than half an inch to me. Also the truck is brand new. Truck leans usually don't take effect right away

My 2001 had a lean but not even half that bad. I would take it and have it looked at. That's a brand new one.

    Okay.

OP said half to 3/4 inch difference so I assume at some point it's been measured and not just looked at on a screen and issues an armchair measurement.

1/2-3/4" lean is practically a feature. This includes stock suspensions. It's more obvious with aftermarket, but it exists on new trucks exactly how OP describes. Which is why he saw the same lean on a brand new truck at the dealer.

Damn, if that's the case new Toyotas suck more than previously thought. First gens take like a decade to develop a lean haha
