Ok gents (and ladies) here is the deal. I am in need of finding a trail somewhere in VA (hopefully around charlottlesville, but open to anywhere in VA) that leads to a lookout. I have a stock 3rd Gen. Tacoma and I would most likely be going by myself, so the trail can't be anything too crazy. I really just need a place on the top-ish portion of a mountain that opens up and you can easily see the sky and some portion of a lookout. That is it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am from Richmond, so let's try not to go more than 2-3 hours from there.

Idk if it's further than your wanting to drive but you can drive up to the top of reddish knob & see over into Va & WV . It's up close to Harrisonburg in the George Washington National Forest

If you look up Rocky Run ATV trail in Harrisonburg it will lead you to miles of roads, rocky run is on top of the mtn but you can keep going.
