    I'd buy one price depending.
I too don't have the know how to build or the time, let alone need for a rock smashing off road machine.

I read all 32 pages and really nobody has a problem with the tires?? I agree they are ok and get good gas mileage which is why they put them on. Too bad they didn't come with BFG A/T or something cooler....Thoughts?

It is unusual. Most folks are pretty cautious with $45,000 or whatever it's going to cost. Maybe by the time it ships all of the third gen kinks will be ironed out.

This Pro would look sick with the black TRD beadlock wheels form the 15 Pro. Will they fit?

This is one thing I was disappointed with in the release as well. BFG All Terrains are iconic with Tacomas and these Wranglers were a major let down. There is no aggresivness with these tires at all. Nothing says TRD Pro about them. I'd imagine most folks will replace these tires rather quickly, which kind of sucks. At least they'll be able to sell them for a decent price.

Yep, i've never seen a tacoma take that run top to bottom. It's a pretty grarly road with a hanful of step-ups just like that. More of a Jeep/old yota trail. My 4dlb doesn't stand a chance.

For me I think the TRD Pro is perfect. The lease on my current vehicle expires in December, so my plan was to get a '17 Tacoma Limited, and then change out the wheels and tires, and perhaps add a small lift. Alternatively, I was also considering maybe getting the TRD Off Road and then adding aftermarket leather and changing out the front grille. I prefer the features and more agressive look of the TRD Off Road, but I want the nicer leather interior of the Limited. So now I can have both with the TRD Pro.

I'm just wondering how I should proceed at this point. Do you think these will be hard to come by next winter? Maybe I should put a deposit down on one now so I'm on the waiting list?

Also, I would be leasing.... Does Toyota put higher money factors on their TRD Pro line than they do on their regular lines? I ask because that has been my experience with BMW M cars and Mercedes AMG.... So it makes leasing them cost prohibitive. On the other hand, when I bought a Scion TC TRD Release Series a few years ago, it had the same money factor as the regular TC and was very reasonable to lease.

'15 Trd Pros were difficult to purchase. Reading TW threads back then, they were also frustrating to acquire after release as only a limited amount were built (guessing 1 or 2%) compared to the rest of fleet. Suspect same will be true for the '17s. I'd imagine odds of leasing a Pro will be remote and you'll be lucky to get msrp when they first hit dealership allocations.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
I disagree. The Baja was kind of a feeler and the Pro was the next step but Toyota never really invested heavily in either. I get the feeling that the 3rd gen Pro will be a bit more aggressive.

I am still content w saving 5-7k putting an icon lift on a trd off road, buying some trd rims, maybe getting some toyo rts, seat covers, and Cali raised led lights...anyone agree w me?

Finally the front grill I've been waiting for. When do you guys think it will be available (the grill not the truck)?

YEah I do. IF I went off roading as a hobby I would rather "roll my own" and pay someone to make my tuck mine. Do some things myself. rather than buy a truck claiming to be "done"

I see the PRO in the same manner as those who don't care to build but want something "special" everyone cannot have. I would bet not many will actually see harsh off Road conditions.

Not my cup of tea but I get why people want it. It's exclusivity has some worth to many.

I find it funny how all the guys with the OR's mock the hood scoop on the Sports, and now all of a sudden it's cool on the TRD Pro!

I would think the TRD Pro would appeal more to the guys who actually don't know anything about offloading, but still think the truck looks cool and want to be part of the club, while the real offroad guys know better and would rather spec out their own truck for less $$$ with better, and more personalized equipment. But I don't offload, so what do I know?

This has been argued to death in the second gen forum regarding the 2015 TRD Pro. I think a majority of TW members, including me, agree with you. While the TRD Pros are good looking trucks, they are more of a novelty for buyers who like to own limited edition vehicles than a functional off-roader. For the premium you'd pay to own one, you can buy the Pro grille, nicer wheels, larger tires, full King/Fox/Icon (proper - UCAs, rear lift, brake lines, etc.) suspension, and still have a few thousand left in your pocket.

However I do think the blacked out headlights and taillight would look great on my truck:D
