Thanks bro! Man, it's a whole new animal. But, truth be told the truck was more capable with the 265's haha. I have a lot of work ahead to properly take advantage of the bigger tires. This thing can't even mall crawl without damaging itself.

The more reading you do you'll quickly realize that the trimming and pounding almost never ends. I'm simply trying to be as proactive as possible to eliminate those rub areas.

I'd like to wager if you keep on the cycling goal, you could eliminate it. Especially if you use a brand new set of tires and get the alignment worked out prior.

It's going to take tubbing and so much cutting unless you swap to a LT kit and fiberglass to get there though.

I'd only go that high for a SAS. Crazy rig, I'm sure it does great in the mud.

    BAMF shock towers are in!

I'm pretty darn happy, but still have yet to do any trail testing so my feelings are partially reserved until I see it in action. Regardless it's been 6months with no rear shocks so this is bliss. Math equations and cardboard shock mockups played a huge role in figuring things out. Can't say it enough, measure, measure, and measure again. The final shock placement is pretty darn balanced between up and down travel. After cycling the AP Expos it was quickly proven that they're the limiting factor in this setup. The Bora .75" spacers were a win providing me ample space between the shock body and tires and the ATO Shackle Flip net extra down travel plus helped to lightly soften the expo pack. So far, so good, now back to the clearance game.

Shot taken with bed full of weight to simulate the Pelfrey HC rear, full size spare, and camping gear. Also it's an optical illusion that the shock body looks like it'll hit the Ubolt flip plate.

Looks awesome! And I'm sure feels even better! I only drove with no rear shocks for two weeks, couldn't imagine doing it for months.

But it was amusing to me that the best way to stop bouncing was to go faster :)

You're not getting out that easily sir. I have question that need answers. Since you are the 1st that cycled properly and measured.

1st question. Are there any more pictures?

In other news, I did it again... I bought another canopy. :spy: Now with more headroom!

I was skeptical how I'd like the hump back look but seeing it on, I love it! Can't wait to see how it lines up with the Prinsu cab rack.

A brief history of my canopy adventure....

    -Silver Leer 100R
Regular cab version, the cab angle bugged me, and silver looked terrible.

    -Blue Leer 100XQ
Didn't like the frameless windows, cant crawl out of them, also didn't like how it took away the truck look and leaned more like a SUV.

    -Black Leer 100R
Fit better than my first 100R, interior was torn up and the paint was in bad shape.

    -Black Leer 180
Needs some fiberglass work to fix a few cracks but it's very nice inside and offers more headspace for sleeping in the back. Perfect for my expo needs!

Yes, both are forward. I'm pretty sure you can put them both front or both rear but I've never seen anyone run them the other way around.

It's so nice not bouncing all over the place, I got used to it, but it was still obnoxious.

Take some pain meds and get to it! On second thought... that's a bad idea. Rest up buddy!

Sadly I'm lacking fun progress shots of this part, it's the first time I've taken the truck to a shop for the work so I ended up with only before and after shots. Sorry to leave ya hanging on this one, I do enjoy the show and tell but I didn't do the work this round. The scribbles, measurements, mockups, etc likely reside in the shops dumpster at this point. One thing I can say is that both sides needed to be different to keep the shock parallel with the mount body at ride height. Once the passenger side was done everything was measured and copied on the driver side, but... on initial test the shock body ended up completely crooked. The measurements were double checked and everything was exactly as the other side... odd.. so my chassis is all out of wack or each side is just a little different from the factory. I do have a early 2005 build so perhaps the frame was a bit sloppy on their first run of second gens? I'd be happy taking more photos and measurements, what would you like?

Haha we'll see, I cant wait to see this thing with the Prinsu up front. Fingers crossed the height lines up!
