From what I've ready most people with those tires say you need a lift. Maybe I'll be a ginu pig for this one. Haha

I'm sure there is someone down there that would be willing to let you test fit to see. I remember the AZ folks being pretty nice and helpful.

They are usually pretty cool. I've got a cool mechanic that I'm sure would let me test fit. He's into toyota as well. He's a land cruiser guy.

I just pulled the trigger on a set of 265/75/16. I cant take the noise from my Duratracs anymore
Discount Tire has $75 rebate for Presidents day. This deal is better than the previous $100 off 2 tires at the time they were $446 for 2. The tires are much cheaper.

The prices the Discount Tire Store on ebay are much better than the store...I took a print out and the store matched. but be careful on the certificates.

For example One ebay ad has all 4 for $792 (+ $75 rebate) The store told me certificates are $35 each.
But the add I posted below has the same tires + certificates for only $100 more. So this deal I got was $40 cheaper

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-NEW-265-7...ash=item4863305b76:g:jigAAOSwezVWuPM7&vxp=mtr

    So I got mine for $198/tire + $25 Certs + $16 install+ 8.125% Tax (-75 rebate = I drove out for $945 installed) (well they come next week)

What are exactly are those certificates. I've seen them, but I'm not sure I remember what they are.

Replacement Warranty. I have had 2 non-repairable tires replaced over the years...it more than pays for itself

I got the CMC done, but I am still hesitant to pull the trigger on 285 in these. Seeing 265's on stuck suspension alone already has me worried it might still rub.

Currently up front I am running 5100's set to .85 w/ Eibach/toytec (1.6). I am thinking 275's to be safe, but still researching LOL.

anyone happen to have side by shot comparison shots between the 285 & 275?

What pressure are y'all running your 255/85/16s at? Shop aired mine to 30 when I got them, but I am going to be taking it up a bit since I'm getting some flex/roll going around corners.

Discount tire direct which is affiliated with Americas tire. 234 a tire, install, road hazard, lifetime balancing, etc etc came out to a little over 1200 for 285/70/17, he did reccomend the ATP which is a little less aggressive, but cheaper at 1040. The only upside to the ATP I saw was the 55,000 miles warranty.

A 240 dollar difference, is that 55k warranty worth it? I never even considered the ATP, the AT3 maybe. The ST MAXX was my top choice.

Someone talk me out of thinking about the ATP please! LMAO
