Lol! I always get to the first tower and try to figure out which one I like best with the best view. Then, once I'm by them all I wonder if I want to go to Refugio. I always stop at the El Capitan Ranch fence and wonder what's up there....

Soooo does anyone have the ability to thread some flip kit plates for the bump stops?

Do you mean re thread them?
Or drill them out and thread them?
I feel like you could re thread them with a tap and some time.
If you need to drill into them you could probably just find someone to tack your bumps into place

There are just two clean holes in each one, they were never threaded to begin with. Never threaded anything so I assumed you need some piece of equipment I don't have...

So its actually pretty easy! does anyone have a kit I could borrow? Looks like the cheapest kits come in around $35-40... rather just get someone a beer than buy a full kit.

    Thanks for the help @CayucosTacoma!

I've got a couple different sizes of T-Wrenches, but I doubt I have the right size tap. Depends what you need. Should have grabbed it last night. Haha

Well, my new truck budget went down significantly...decided to invest in the house a bit. Relandscaping the whole backyard. New dog proof fencing, underground anti-digging fence, leveling, gopher mesh, weed block, decomposed granite and flagstone. Hmmmm, maybe go crazy and put a "garage shed" and side gate big enough to drive back to? Nah...

But I'm still looking for trucks! Three-day weekend and no truck isn't as fun!

    No grass for the pup!?!

I hated when I had a dirt backyard, had to wash the pup like 3 times a week or else the house would turn into a dustbowl!!

Vandenberg Village is mostly sand. So while it is a bit dusty, it's not like regular dirt. I'm going with the decomposed granite because it is dog friendly, but the entire front yard is grass and I constantly take them for walks. I'll spruce it up with large half wine barrel or cement planters.

Also, the long-term plan with this house is to be a rental so this will be more durable for tenants and low maintenance. (Eg: I don't have to pay for a gardener)

Looks like the hole was drilled with a 5/16s bit, so probably a 5/16 or M8 tap.
