The time has come that I toss my stock headlight assemblies into the trash. Looking at my options here for a well made candidate for replacements I land between TYC or DEPO. My question though will be which brand is better and more resilient to moisture development, better constructed, etc.?

These will be 2012+ replacements btw, and I am finding DEPO's run cheaper per side than TYC. So I want to buy once, cry once. Lol.

I got DTMoto's blackened headlights from eBay and love em. 064f27ddc7c9fc6256e3776c240e5818_38b2a13edc3f6cdb1624390ca89952539026f507.jpg

I've had both. The DEPO looked great until it rained. Also easier to see with the TYC light pattern is better.

Are you looking to get new headlights because your OEM ones are cracked?

All damaged. 3 out of 4 broken mounting tabs on both of them.

A little of this and a little of that.
I purchased DEPO brand replacement headlight assy's for my daughter's Civic and was impressed with them. They have been on her car for over a year and no issues at all.

I searched for these to see what they were selling for but it appears that they are not selling them right now, which sort of sucks because I would prefer the BHLM be done. I don't know why they aren't available.

Kind of expensive for replacements, but they do look cool as a 2012+ replacement angel eye headlights. If they weren't 150 per side, I would consider them.

This is what I wanted to hear.

This is also good to know, then again the build quality for civic depo lighta may be better simply because they are overall a smaller headlight compared to tacoma so it may not be apples to apples comparison.

Bump for this. I want some more input on the DTmoto BHLM headlight replacements and get some more input on TYC compared to DEPO.

I haven't seen both up close for a tacoma but I've seen numerous examples of each for BMW's over the years. Without question between the two the TYC is a better piece.

I just installed a TYC tail lamp on my niece's Ford Expedition and if fit perfect and looked factory.

I have the DEPO's on my 08. One of them in the first set I ordered had a bad seal and leaked like a sieve. Amazon was awesome about replacing them and the next set have been great for just shy of 3 years. No matter what you get, I would recommend checking them over before installing them to make sure the seal looks good.
