I would like to add a small sub box behind either the driver's or passenger rear seat with an 8" or 10" sub. I know that the subs for the 2012-2015 don't work so what are my options? I rather not go the ********* route because frankly their customer service isn't good, IMO. What are good economic options to place a small sub in the cab? I will also be looking for a good small amp to power the front/rear speakers.

********* is definitely going to be the most knowledgable of the Tacoma since Toyota is mostly what they work on. Otherwise JL audio I know makes a box/amp setup that direct fits behind the rear bench

One can never have too many light bars.
I also purchased though taco tunes about 6 months ago and had no issues.

I'm interested in this as well. Probably won't do anything till summertime, but OEM Audio Plus has a great looking box and sub that I'd love to have in my Tacoma. I'd like to upgrade the door speakers to something better, and add in an amp/DSP so I can control the crossover for the front speakers to the sub while keeping my head unit which is a must because it has nav and lets you change settings on the truck like the door locks for example.

I did a full custom setup in my Tundra last summer with an Alpine HU, 500W amp, and 12" sub with Memphis PRX speakers up front and back. Set the crossover for the sub and front speakers at 80 Hz and could crank it without any distortion. I'd love to go back to that in the Taco.

    Example sub: [IMG]

I'd probably end up taking it to an audio shop in town that did the install for my Tundra since I'm not exactly a stereo wiring master and don't want to open up my door panels and route stuff through the firewall. Problem with all that is keeping it from rattling later on. It seems like things never go back together the way they were originally and start to squeak and rattle.
