...... on top of the $500 cash back rebate.
So, $1250 in additional rebates; but they don't know I have those up my sleeves!

Let's see if Universal Toyota in San Antonio can beat that...[/QUOTE]

I wasn't aware that the $500 applied to Tacos, shoot. Regardless, with the little stunt they pulled with the $750 I don't want to finance through them. Just my $0.02.

The local dealer, and I've talked to two, will only give me 800 off sticker on a 2016 Taco with TRD sport package. The other dealer wants to give me 500 off. I can go out of state and get 1500 off one if I want to drive 8 hours but I won't be able to obtain the truck in inferno color. Am I getting hosed?

I think you are. My region is VERY limited on 2016s with the biggest dealers having only one or two of them on the lot and I negotiated $2374 off with a low service fee. Im in Wisconsin. Ive been told they have about $3500 in wiggle room on average but getting them to, drop to that amount is near impossible. I would walk for anything less than 2k off msrp.

When we initially sat down the dealer offered $1100 off msrp to start with a low $219 service fee.

I'm in Nashville and nobody wants to move on these things because they are selling like hotcakes.

Paid $42,500 CDN after all deals and expenses done (If our dollar wasn't so bad and border-buying such a hassle that'd be about $30,600 US for it). (They paid off the owing amount on my trade-in, as well as offered top dollar compared to any other dealer I called)

Anyone in SoCal have any luck on a decent deal? Been on the hunt for this 'unicorn' as they call it:
    TRD Sport DCSB 4x2
Super White, Blazin Blue OR Magnetic Gray
    HH-Prem&Tech Package
    TO-Tow Package
NO tonneau, oval step bars or other fancy 'nickel and dime' options

    HELP me!

That no Unicorn, unless you are looking for a manual. That should be easy to find if you do some contact work. Contact as many dealers as possible. Use their email forms and write a generic text asking for what you want and if they have it. They will get back to you if they have it or if they have anything like it. I wrote 102 emails to different dealers in the course of 2 hours on a Sunday a few months ago. I got 49 replies

I think the only thing True Car has done is make manufacturers raise their MSRP so people can think they are getting a good deal.

Just purchased yesterday. 2016 DCSB SR 2.7L. Came with SR Convenience package, the 16" dark wheels, and all weather floor mats w/ door sills. They threw in a Toyota brand bed extender.
    MSRP 26,124
    Listed on website 25,122
    Sale price 24,721
    Doc fee 250
    Title fees/lien/OH temp tag 95
No tax since I live out of state
    Total 25,066

I'm happy with the deal I got, they didn't want to budge once we got to 24,721 so they threw in the bed extender to make the deal.
