Just courious if anyone knows the numbers of each produced. My local dealer seems to get several but I'm guessing they're sold before they get to the lot and shipped elsewhere. I've never seen another on the road.

If it has been asked I didn't see it in search. Please just link the thread and I'll delete this post.

Good question, I'd like to know the answer as well. I have a limited on the way. But all you see and hear about are Off Roads or Sport models.

For those of you with a Limited order, was the tonneau cover forced upon you? I have not seen a Limited without one.

Bought mine sight unseen, but was on-route by train to the Toyota holding yard in Vancouver. Apparently 40% of all Tacomas sold are TRD versions, so that's why there's a lot of talk of them in these forums. Plus those owners are the most likely to do mods, so again they are more active in the forums.

I owned a '13 LTD, in almost 3 years of ownership, only saw 1 other on the road. '16 seems to be more popular. I'm in Canada, and if you want JBL, you have to buy a Limited. Not available on any other trim model.

If I was to guess, probably somewhere between 10-20% will be LTDs. Not a lot of people willing to pay the extra $s for basically the same thing you can get by adding the packages to another model and purchasing after market leather.

For me, it was worth it.

Yes, in the U.S., in Canada they all come with the 5" Chrome Nerf bars, no tonneau.

for some reason the color choice adds features. I wanted black so I paid $650 to go to black and add the tonneau cover.

No choice of getting black without the cover. I think the cover is a $650 option anyway???

My black limited came with no cover and no nerf bars.

I just like to be different or go against the grain. If I decided to wheel this Tacoma I'll install ARBs, lift, tires and look at regear options.

Fwiw, none of the dealerships around me had a limited in stock for me to look at when I was shopping. I'm in the San Francisco bay area. I really just wanted to check out the interior.

When did you purchase your truck? Heard Toyota had a tonneau shortage during first production run.

May make sense I bought mine in late-November. I also gave $36,970 for it before taxes.

    Earth, I think.

Only options on my MGM Limited were Tow package and stupid carpet floor mats. I tried to get factory cover added but dealer said they couldn't get one and wouldn't remove from another truck. Now that I see how they butcher the bed to install, I understand why they couldn't swap one from another truck and am glad I was forced to buy aftermarket. Just wish LEER would hurry up and produce/ship my Trilogy cover.

Different regions sometimes get different accessories. Canada gets tow packages, mud flaps, both sets of floor mats, and Nerf bars on LTD. of course we pay more, but the exchange rate is a factor in all that too.
