That's completely understandable. I had some super cheap Eurekas up until a few years ago. Then I bought my Marmot Limestone 4P (another excellent company) and figured out why it's 6-10x the price of the Eurekas I was buying. Well worth the money. I've only used it probably 6 times since I've had it but I know it'll last me another 15 years. If a tent is made of decent materials it will last as long as you take care of it. Whether it's a $50 tent or a $1000 tent.

Ordered some more gear for this trip. It's all stuff I've been meaning to get. Just using this trip as a reason to finally buy it. Main thing I got was a Camp Chef Rainier grill/stove/griddle. Pretty slick setup in my opinion. Plus it will fit perfectly on my camp kitchen. But I won't be bringing the kitchen. It's for base camp type trips. But here's a pic of it because I like looking at it :)

I can't decide between the camp stove you got and the Everest 2 burner stove....

I really like those kitchen setups. But like you said, they're for base camps so I'd probably never use it if I had it...

I looked at that Everest as well. But I don't like the fact that it's just a stove. I would have to carry it as well as my little camp grill. I wanted an all in one unit so I picked the Camp Chef. I also looked at a Coleman that was extremely similar to the Camp Chef I got but it didn't include the griddle and was only $10 less so I decided on the Camp Chef. That Everest puts out a shit load of heat though. Over double what the Camp Chef does. But I grill way too often to not have a grill and carrying a stove and a grill would just take up more room than I'm willing to sacrifice.

Yeah I haven't used this one since I got it. But I only paid like $40 for it on Amazon. Once I get finished building the camper it will stay stored in there and I'll use it for trips where we stay set up in the same place for the whole weekend.

Hmm, only $30 more for one with a grill, griddle, carrying case, but with one less burner...

Just depends on what you need it to do. I've never needed more than one burner at a time on a camp stove. Most of the meals I eat when camping are cooked on a grill or griddle.

Just found the Rainer for $100, the same price as the Everest. Looks like I'm going with the Rainer haha

If there's something that you need for this trip that you don't have and can't get or won't have a way to bring it, post it up here so we can see if someone can help you out and we can make sure we have all bases covere. For instance, since I have a 4Runner I don't really have anyway to carry my 60" Hi-Lift due to my lack of a bed. I'm assuming pretty much everyone else will have a Hi-Lift so I'm not too worried about it. So if there's something you need and don't have the means to bring it, let us know and I'm sure somebody can help out. Especially with tools or other items that everyone may not have or need to bring.

Great post. I will have the tools needed to swap a CV. I also have most everything for camping or cooking. Only thing that I dont have that would be nice is a camp toilet. I have crap bags but digging a hole is more desirable.

I will have all tools needed to basically take apart my truck, other than a ball joint press or something similar.

Will have two spare CV's and two lower ball joints that will fit 1st gen Tacomas.

Will also have a 60" Hi-Lift, shovel, axe, portable toilet, and solar shower.

I have a Hi-Lift Extreme with with a Wabbit's Foot and tube adapter. Anyone is more than welcome to use it. I also intend to bring all of my tools including pickle fork, breaker bar, pitman arm puller, ax, and shovel. I'll also have lower ball joints, a CV axle, and belts for a first gen 6 cyl. Will also have a full recovery kit.

I'm debating on whether to bring my electric impact. If anyone has air and a pneumatic I'll leave mine at home.

Will be bringing a hand pump shower, privacy enclosure and a Luggable Loo. If anyone wants to use the Luggable Loo they'll need to bring their own bags. I plan on getting biodegradable bags and burying them. I just don't want to clean the loo or carry my poo.

I'm also bringing a Coleman camp stove and a cook set. I'm not sure how much cooking I'm going to do though. I like to keep it simple, especially when we won't have a base camp.

Anyone is welcome to use my things as long as you take care of them.
