I have purchased now 3 locking gas caps from two different auto supply stores. All give warning lights and error codes. I tried these several times and continued to get the codes. Replacing the OEM non-locking cap will never trigger the codes.

Anyone know of a locking gas cap that really works without getting error codes?
    I have a 2014 4 door V6.

That's a pretty common problem, those gas caps aren't worth it. If someone's gonna siphon your gas, they will get it either through the filler or drill a hole in your tank. I rather they take it from the filler.

Besides you can take a flat screw driver and break the lock real easy.

I recommend you doing the locking gas door mod I saw on here a while back. Pretty neat and worth it.

The problem is the seal on those caps, if they don't seal good enough you get that check engine light. Find a gasket you can fit on there for better sealing.

Also want to prevent someone putting junk into the tank. I will look for the locking gas door mod.
