I've searched to the best of my abilities so don't bash me if this has been mentioned before. Is there anything out right now in the way of a rubber mud flap that doesn't look "cheap". I've never been a fan of mud flaps, but I'd like to protect the side of my new truck as much as possible. I have the OEM flaps right now, but I know the first rock that gets caught between it and the tire will rip it clean off... maybe. Can I get an idea or suggestions of what are some good rubber mud flaps that look halfway decent?

Why don't you give the oems a chance until it rips off. Then go with something else. Or build a skid plate for your mud flaps.

Are either of these rubber though? They look like the same material as the factory flaps are.

Plasticolor, 11x9's. Depends on what look your going for. What sold me was they are made with long fibers throughout the flap so it won't crack when it bends

I've looked at these before. I don't see any plain flaps in the 11x9 variety.

Plain like no mountains? Most of what I found had logos on them, never found a completely plain one, but I like the mountains so it worked for me

The mountains would be fine with me. I just don't see them on the online store that the Plasticolor website links to.

That would be awesome. I'd really like to avoid having Yosemite Sam on my mud flaps.

So is the correct size 11x9 or 11x19?

You can use the existing bolts on the truck and just drill holes in the mudflap that match up to the factory bolts. I also added another self tapping screw that is black (they come with 10 or so) to each flap to make it more secure. I used a small piece of plastic as a backing for the screw and it worked good. It just takes time to mock them up on the truck so they look level and match. I used a baseball to pin the mud flap in place against the tire so I could mark where the bolts needed to go. Def need a ratchet with a socket that fits a screwdriver tip. Its tight installing them with the wheels on.

I just put on the 9x15's and actually like the look a lot. seem to work just fine to me.. but I am not going to go wider tires - if I was I would want the 11x19's :)
