Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
If you just want to level learn from my first mistake. At first I put the 5100 Billy's on set at 1.75 and it did not ride like I wanted it to. A little rough on bumps and it liked to follow the road a lot and I felt every bump. A few days ago I put on some OME 884x w/driver side trim pack with the Billy's set at zero and it is night and day difference. Rides better than factory IMO. Does not follow road anymore and I can't even feel the bumps in the road anymore. I even have a sport and wasn't happy with the ride quality with the billy lift. With the OME coils I am pretty much level with 1/4-1/2 higher in front but they have not settled yet so will prolly end up leveled. Hope this helps at all! Must add I still have oem uca and was able to get alignment in specs as well. Pretty cheap imo and much better than doing a spacer lift!

The OME coils I got from wheelers and I'm not positive but I think I got the 5100 from 4wheelparts locally cause they were the only place that had them in stock but had to get from a different warehouse. All at different purchases though. If you have any questions call them up, there customer service is top notch and helped me out a lot.

So, I want to level my Tacoma too. I have a DCSB TRD SPORT. Should I just get two front 5100's and two OME 884x coils? Did you install them yourself?

    Thanks

Read what seems like a million posts on the best way to level and it seems like you've got what everybody agrees to be the best ride quality method. Think I'm going this route when the roads dry up this spring

That's all you need plus the spacer on top which I had to get the 3/8" spacer and replaced the top studs. The first time I didn't put them in myself but i had to replace the spacer for the thicker one and I wish I would have shaved the money and did it myself because it is actually pretty easy

I double checked, got the coils from wheelers and 5100's from Amazon.

How did you compress the springs when you installed the new ones?

I took a different path with the same end result. Had frame inspected in Aug on my '06, didn't pass, still able to drive. Dealer says any parts not included in frame swap I want done while getting frame replaced they will do it at 1/2 labor. So I bought 5100s all around from DSM for $319 & for $75 labor, had all 4 installed. Had them set at .85 with the stock coils. Sets level. $400 roughly to level it, I'll take. Doing it at any other shop around town would of been more, I checked. Most places wouldn't do it with me suppling the shocks. Ride comfort vastly improved over stock shocks. Turns on a dime, had a new steering rack installed, no play, nice & tight. Happy camper and on to saving for next mod.

I just used the regular ole spring compressors that everyone seems to be afraid of for some reason. They are unsafe if you use them the wrong way I agree but just make sure when using don't tighten one side down all the way then the other. You have to alternate as you go and everything will be fine. I was one of the ones that was scared at first but someone gave me the same advice I'm giving you and as I was doing it I told myself I was scared for nothing just as long as you alternate as you compress. I think I did mine in 5 or 10 turn intervals but you will get a feel for how much you can turn safely on each side before having to switch. Also with the 5100's make sure to mark and mark some more because the bottom coil holder isn't fixed therefore it will rotate on you but if you find yourself not being able to line it up properly do as I did and compress just enough to where you can turn the coils or the bottom holder on the strut. Should be easy. It took me about 30-45 mins and some of that was getting the right tools and sockets together. Hope this helps!
