Wiring?

I am moving from 3 Hella 500 lights to 6 LED pods. Can I use the same wiring, or should I just get a new harness? If so, how do I rewire it? The pods have a positive & negative, while the Hellas have a blue ground & a black power wire.

 

Anyone?

 

Just buy some red wire and use the black wire for the ground.

 

if you are still having doubt i have two wire harness if you want one.

Uh, didn't this just say "you can run the positive through the blue wire."

The black wire connects to the relay & blue is the ground. I'm just trying to avoid pushing wire through the firewall & figuring out what wire goes to what post on a stock fog light switch again. Because it was a pain in the ass.

 

As long as you have positive and negative wires the color doesn't matter...I don't see why you would need to run new wires.

 

They are saying to run new wires because you asked if you should change the harness I guess, but I would say you will need a harness because all the connectors for the LEDs are different unless you're just have wires coming out of the pod? I would wire pods all connected together nearer to the switch. Put a fuse before the switch then run power wires from battery to switch. You may need a relay am before the switch as well depending on power draw from your 6 pod setup
