I'm replacing the front and rear shocks on my stock height 04 double cab 4x4. On the front I put on some new Gabriels with new springs, preassembled from Vatozone. For the rear, I bought a set of Monroe's from Advance (pn # 59368 & 59369) and I'm having second thoughts before putting them on. I first purchased a set of struts from Advance and they gave me the wrong damn ones, so I had to take them back and just grabbed the Gabriels. The rears, I just pulled my old shocks off and one has "738371 VOLVO" printed on it, the other I can't read the imprint. These shocks that I'm pulling off are a couple inches longer than the Monroe's I got to replace them. I tried to look up the "738371 VOLVO" shock to find specs, but I'm not having any luck.

I don't want to put the new Monroes on and loose any height that I might have gained from these 738371 shocks that are on it now.

Anyone have any input here? I want to maintain stock height for now and not break the bank, this is my daily driver for work.

Shock length will not effect ride height unless they are bottomed out, have them look up stock replacement shocks and go with those.

Yup, you're right!...right after I posted it I realized that it wouldn't effect the ride height.
