pull em back out and double check everything. something doesn't seem right, and you can't confirm that everything was assembled correctly. best to just start fresh in a situation like this

Well your first step no matter what Is to check it. There is obviously something wrong sorry vise grips on the top of the thread and turning the nut. If not then take it out and check it then start over on that side

Sounds like a bushing didn't make it into the shock tower below shock top plate. There are two on each side.

You are in luck. I actually have the whole top plate assembly including bushing available.

Edit: just realized it's in storage when I moved out of my wife's house. Don't even know what box it ended up in.

You can buy the whole assembly on ebay for $25. I don't even know where you can get just the bushing.

Shouldn't hurt anything to drive it around town for the week until you can get it back apart. But definitely get it back apart and fix whatever's going on.

Shock shaft isn't actually straight due to the piston disintegrating.

If it's not knocking/clunking, there shouldn't be any significant issues occurring.

I thought we had both bushings on both sides. 1 had to be retrieved and placed before stabbing the shocks. You were looking up from underneath, but it was kinda dark.

I'm not sure what it could be if the bushings are there. Let me know if you want/can bring it by my place.

Yeah I found that after the first test of my rear end. I was just glad it wasn't new rear end work. Was planning on upgrading the front shortly after anyways. This just sped up the process. And a few weeks of misaligned driving isn't terrible. Get it done right and finished before paying for an alignment.

And I'll suggest the tc cam tab gussets after needing alignments 3 wheeling trips in a row. I think I payed for 4 alignments last year

Yeah that's a bit much. Even though, check it this weekend and you'll have lost no more than a few hundred of miles worth of tread from your tires. Hell a thousand or two miles of tire life isn't anything to fret over.

Brian mentioned a hardware kit on eBay for only $25. Might be worth just ordering and having parts ready to go. Month old tires vs year old doesn't matter other than it is fresh on your mind. You won't have lost more than a thousand or 2 worth of lifetime miles on them. This weekend or next until you can check it out. Don't worry so much, just make time to fix it and get it done. Don't pay for an alignment until then. More than enough people on here willing to help each other out b

@0uTkAsT try sdhq or sierra expeditions? They would probably have the parts you need

I got the kit on Amazon. I had the same thing happen when installing the lift on the old truck. The bushings were 140k old and I didn't have new ones. Put the old ones on and the drivers disintegrated shortly after. Had the clunking sounds for a over a year. It didn't do anything to the alignment.

Mother in law got it for me from my amazon wishlist and didn't know what it was she was getting.

An hrs worth of work to figure out what is wrong and determine if it is a problem worth addressing. The cocktails are flowing tonight so sorry if I start getting blunt. Fix yo sh*t :)

If you're just removing the coil overs and not altering the ride height or messing with the alignment cam bolts(which you shouldn't be) there won't be any need for another alignment.
