Chux's 2013 Beach Buggy Build

I originally wanted aluminum but had last minute doubts so I went steel. I was shocked taking it out of the shipping box how light the steel was! I put it up there with help but took it down by myself and carried on my shoulder no problem. The aluminum must be like a feather..

I want the same exact effect. Works out well also because the lighting I put in the awning is not fixed wiring. I plan on making a mount to do says swivel off my bed rack basket based off of the front runner concept. It looks mechanically simple, two swivel points with two locking pins for each location. Would like to make it out of aluminum as well.

 

I hope that's not the case- I saw this setup a while ago and KNEW that's what I wanted cause I was so torn between the look of single hoop and the function of full hoop. Awesome that it's becoming more popular.

 

Just reminded me why I like PrInSu so much more than frontrunner... Almost $600 for this mount setup!
I hope they give whoever buys this a big kiss, they are obviously royally fucking them too...

 

I just went back through my pm's with Satin and she had told me that the hoop design was at the time a standard design and they wouldn't customize them. That was a year ago when they were trying to reorganize I guess. Maybe things are different now. That's what kept me from going with them so decided to go a different direction.
If you can get it, it's awesome! I loved that setup from the first time I saw it too.

Back from NH where I wanted to see if I can camp in the winter seasons. I survived and would do it again. Think @JLink told me once "a good sleeping bag is key". He told me about these Teton bags so I scooped up the zero degree.

Just need an all season tent. I had a small buddy heater I ran before bed and when I woke up but did not sleep with it on. Lows hit 14* and snowed out 4-5" one morning. The trip was to visit my sister who lives in a cabin. They offered me to sleep inside but like I said I wanted to physically see if I could do it.





The last night there went to bed 20* and woke up 14*

Thanx guys. New Hampshire is beautiful. I plan on stopping back in for a night on a trip up to Maine sometime this summer.

 

Holy shit never even saw the climbers when you sent that pic.

 

Super cool to see in person and in such a wild nature aspect. While hiking and traveling we saw other groups of climbers, Doods are legit.

 

Looks like a good time, I almost convinced my girlfriend to camp thanks giving weekend 2 years ago at rausch creek, good thing she talked me out of it cause it dumped nearly a foot of snow overnight that night and was 13* when we left the hotel, lol.
