Just bought my first Tacoma today (first Toyota actually). Starting thinking that maybe there was something to this Tacoma thing after seeing friends and coworkers get 200000, 300000, and more miles out of them with no major issues. So, I traded in my old Dodge Ram for a 2012 Double Cad TRD Sport.

It's been less than 24 hours since I signed the papers and I couldn't be happier! Needs new tires, but good as new otherwise. Thanks for having me! ...for the record, the stains all over the driveway in the pic are from my old truck

Any chance you bought that at Toyota South? I think its my old truck. 59,100ish miles? Traded it last Tuesday for a 2016. If that's it, it is in perfect shape, except for tires. Let me know if it is and I will give you all the background on maintenance and mail you a spare oil filter I have! Awesome!

Very cool! It is a great truck, the only reason I got rid of it was because I got new truck fever.

It has never missed any maintenance. All oil changes were with Toyota filters and Royal Purple oil.
I changed the T-case and diff fluids at 35,000 miles, with royal purple oils as well.
    Plugs were done at 35,000.
The last oil change was on Trip A, if they didn't reset it, which I think was about 1500 miles ago, but the maintenance light interval should be right either way.
It has an AFE Pro-Dry air filter
I did the front brakes about 10,000 miles ago and changed over to slotted and drilled rotors, it didn't really need brakes yet but it got rid of the common "clunk" from the pads setting when switching from reverse to drive.
I added a pop-a-lock power lock to the tailgate, its hooked to the passenger side power lock. Two key presses to unlock.
I had weathertech floor liners in, except for maybe the first 500 miles. (I intend to put them up here on sale in the near future, if you are interested you can have first dibs)
Was last hand waxed in September.

90% or greater of its life was highway driving, she has at least 200,000 more miles in her easy!

I really do have a spare Toyota oil filter, and the drain a gaskets you can have. PM me your address and I will ship them your way sometime soon.

    Enjoy!!!

    Shaun
