Not so much the lift but the inappropriate disassembly at some point by one of the install shops using a fork instead of a puller. At any rate you did the right thing by getting the parts and fixing it yourself.

Ok so the driver side was easy. Now I'm stuck on the passenger side because the jam nut won't move. I realize I might have to go buy a torch, but before I do, can anyone confirm that the nut spins counter clockwise (left) to come off?

The thread is right hand. CCW to remove. A torch is expensive. Try using a grinder, chissle or a nut splitter. An air chissle works good if you have a compressor.

That angle of the boots would make me worry as to how many days they would hold up to the test, too. Good thing is you have done it so you'll know exactly what to do it in about 6-month time :) .

Not sure what to do about that. Lower lift? Mine's 3" which seems normal for a lot of folks here, but my angle seems worse for some reason
