New Tacoma bro in need of tips for truck lifting

I'm from California and I want to start off roading or get my truck lifted first. My truck is small. Is a 2006 4cyl manual extended cab. It is not a pre-runner so as you can imagine it is not tall. I know nothing about lifting accessories or parts but I really want to start this lifting thing haha

Any tips and suggestions would be helpful. Thanks and Tacomas rule!

Welcome to TW. There is tons of info on here regarding lifts, so you got your work cut out for you! It's important to see what kind of off roading you want to do, figure out a budget, will you also want to do tires and wheels at the same time? I found it helpful to check out other peoples build pages on here and narrow down exactly what you want, like and is in budget. Good luck.
