    It's not that I'm too lazy it's just I want to get everything put on at once. It's my daily so it'd suck to have to wait for the shocks to get in and out everything back on.

    Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
    Recommending proper shock lengths over the internet is hopeless. At the same time, 99% of people on here will never break down a leaf pack and measure, nor will they find it necessary. And there's no shock that will work perfectly for 0" of lift and 2.5" of lift.

    Most off the shelf shocks for 'lifted' applications will most likely be sufficient for most on here.

    Shocks can be done after everything else is on, takes like 15 mins to swap them and you can do it all on the ground with hand tools.

    So just ride around basically just one the springs? The shocks I have now wouldn't be any help after the AAL

    Obviously use your best judgement, but I did it for a bit when I first put my lift on. Leaf springs have a bit of natural damping because of the friction between them. There is always the chance that your shocks you have now will fit (albeit a bit over extended) for the couple days your new ones are in transit. If you do decide to measure your compression and droop make sure you have no shocks on for the measurement. Also make sure to measure from the center of the bottom shock mount to the center of the top shock mount. It is super easy to pick shocks once you have those numbers FOR BOTH SIDES.... MEASURE BOTH SIDES!

    There are different ways to go about it, I was a lazy bastard and put my floor jack under the ubolt mounting plate and jacked until she wouldn't go any higher (with a load of junk in the bed, about as heavy as my usual wheeling/camping gear) and then measured between the points. You only need to jack one side up at a time. Some people back sideways down a loading ramp too, you can look that method up.

    I got those too, I was kinda disappointed that it didn't fit the transfer case though, just a bit too long. Works great for the rear axle though!

    I tried it and felt resistance at a certain point and didn't feel ballsy enough to keep tightening and actually hear if it was rubbing on something. But looking through the drain hole there is certainly something not too far from the plug directly in there, also there is already a magnet built into the t-case, it is hiding in there.

    Yea, the shocks might be a bit extended, but if you're not cycling the suspension (ie driving on flat surfaces) it's fine because you're just using the travel that's built into the shocks.

    I know some people have driven with only springs in the back temporarily...I drove my truck for 3 miles with only springs and it was bouncing all over the place due to shit roads in PA
