Is it worth installing a 50" light bar on a 05 RC 2.7L Tacoma? Having doubts lol what do you all think?

I had a light bar on my Prerunner. Had it tied into my high beams to come on when I used them. I'd say if you want it, go for it.

I just saw one on a VW Jetta the other day. You're good lol

As look as you use it responsibly, go for it. I like them, but there is just no place for me to use one.

What I'm concerned about, and this might sound ridiculous, is the amount of drag it could create.

    Isn't that a 5 lugger? Looks good.
If you don't see much xway time, I don't think you will lose much mpg. When you hit 80 mph, drag really plays.

I would take wind noise into consideration. I have the oem roof rack and when I cross the bars the wind buffeting is pretty loud and gets annoying after a while. The cross bars are oval shaped too.

I'm more concerned with how you like those Wildpeaks!? I didn't think anybody ran them around here. They're one of the tires I'm considering. You go off-road with them?

GET IT! lol I have a 50" curved. I don't know about the drag slowing me down since I have parachute fenders/bedsides, bigger tires, basically all my aerodynamics are gone lol, but it will probably whistle as you go down the road. My friend has a 55" on his tundra and it whistles and wines you'll get hood glare too. I've always wanted one so I got one. I like it and use it almost every time I go off road.
