I will be installing weatherstrip soon. One thing I noticed while looking at the tailgate fit and the bedliner was a small gap in the last 3" of liner which goes around the back post. There was a hole that I could see through on both sides of the bed to the ground and the tires (circled). I sealed that up with some black RTV to prevent the water and mud from slinging back in through there.

We're having an Austin TW member's meet this Saturday. Lots of pics will be taken, and many will be shared. @23Skidoo will be there, so we'll get to see if his moustache is as "robust" as his avatar's.

Glad you think I'm positive - I don't feel it at the moment. You definitely wouldn't think so if you saw the digital killing spree I'm taking a break from right now. I mean, for fuck's fucking sake - if you think your work laptop has a keylogger installed then TURN IT THE FUCK OFF!!! This ain't rocket surgery. I have not said kind things about a large portion of my user base today.

I need lunch. I'm not me when I'm hungry.

I don't put miles on like some people only because I'm soooo lucky I live 9 miles from work. I used to have a 110 mile daily round trip - and I don't miss that at all.

There's a blue DCLB SPORT at my local dealer, at least per website... Gonna be a fun weekend.

Nice, but I only have a 1 mile commute! My company actually moved closer to me about 15 years ago! I just turned 5K last weekend (purchased 9/15, road trips to Central Cal, Flagstaff, and Vegas from SoCal).

I'm 3 miles from work, but the oh, 200 mile round trips on weekend hikes and whatnot sure drives up the milage some.

Damn - something must have happened on the site (server adjustments maybe), because images don't attach full size anymore. That panorama is huge, and is showing up more like a thumbnail. Must research further...

I'll pick up the travel trailer tomorrow and take some pics and document the trip towing ~5,000 lbs. to Inks Lake.

That's pretty nice for 5K pounds! Did you install a brake controller yet?

I'm renting this one to see how well the truck tows a 24' trailer before I buy one. Yes, I installed a Tekonsha P3 a couple of weeks ago and I'll have a WD hitch to spread the load.

What do you anticipate or do you know what your tongue weight will be? Also I would be interested is seeing what the back end sag looks like when hooked to your truck. Do you have air bags or Timbren system?

I'll try to get that from the dealer tomorrow when I pick it up but the specs for the trailer (2011 246RBS) is 4,817 pounds DW with a TW of 415. I will only be out for a few days so only a couple hundred more pounds in the trailer. I expect the TW to be 500-550 pounds depending upon loading. If I have time I'll measure it with a scale. I don't have air bags or Timbren yet. That's another reason to rent first to find out what I'll need long term. I'll document all this with pics in one of the towing threads when I get back.

That would be awesome and thank you for the information. I am taking delivery of a food concession trailer this week. It is a 16'x8'x8' and weighs in just under 5k pounds. Tongue weight right around 700 pounds and I have a WD hitch/trailer brake, and have installed the timbren system. I will not be towing very far (20 miles max) and it is pretty flat and slow (55mph or less) I am very interested to see how your setup tows!

That trailer look awfully big for a Tacoma.
