I am looking to get a 3" lift but am not well versed on this. I bought tires that are slightly too big and are rubbing the wells when I take sharp turns. I commute 7 miles to and from work which is downtown and only get to truly go off road a few times a year.
I've received 3 quotes ranging from $600 to $900 to $1500. The place with the $1500 was more in depth than the other two, even though they say they do them all the time. I live in Austin, Tx. So if anyone has any recs or advice, I'm all ears.

Could you give some more information on the lift you're installing? If you're mechanically inclined, I'd recommend skipping the professional install all together and just doing your research and getting it done yourself.

Unfortunately, I'm not mechanically inclined. I just want to raise the truck a little for aesthetics and to keep the tires from rubbing. The two lower options seem to be more of just spacers and the higher end seems to be a bit more. I'm just not sure what I need since I don't do much off roading. But I don't want to go cheap and compromise the truck. The $900 option sent me this which is greek to me, unfortunately.

3" kit is probably what is needed and above is the installed quote

The more expensive option sent me this

    or

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Toytec-Ultimate-Lift-Kit-05-Tacoma_p_1062.html

This kit will give you an adjustable front coil so that we can get the height exactly where you need it.

The price on this is the kit price plus 5 hour install $565.00, plus tax of course.

The lowest option said I need a 3" spacing in the front and 2" in the rear and would run around $500.
