Riding in a new to me 2014 double cab yesterday, decided to get a little fresh air, so opened the drivers side back window. WOW, the truck started to shimmy and shake and make a loud noise.
I thought I had a flat tire, so pulled over and checked them, all good.
My question is does anyone else's truck do this? I checked when I got back on road and played with the window a bit. The vibration started about the time the window was half down, tried it several times with the same result. What gives?
    Thanks

This is a very common problem resulting from fluctuation in air pressure. Open both sides to regulate. All vehicles do it to some extent.

Yeah, it's not really noticeable in my access cab. It seems to be way worse on 4 doors of all makes and models (that I've experienced). My parents' old mini van was excruciating - I guess larger passenger areas make it worse due to the larger volume of air.

Do your AC rear door windows open?

The truck will tell you when your tires need air. It assumes you won't take responsibility for yourself, and that you'll have no clue what an actual flat, or flat in progress, feels/sounds like.

So, you have a mandatory expensive TPMS system.

Mine did in my 2002 - They had a latch that released to open it.

Open the back slider. I suspect the pressure relief will allow you to tinker with the rear door window positions in any way you wish.

Funny story.. The latch that popped open that window broke. I ordered a new one and when I went to pick it up I ended up walking out two hrs later with a new truck.

    Then new:

    Yeah, that happens. LOL
Hard to go from an extra cab 2000 to a double cab 2014 loaded, a bit of a learning curve.

Like the looks and overall size of Gen 1 the best.

Like the ride, interior size, and a couple other features of the Gen 2 better.

We just sold a place in Newton NH. You anywhere around there?
