Curts has just listed a front hitch for the 2016 Tacoma if anybody needs one. P/N 31075. I had one on my previous Titan and it was very handy for launching boats and jet skis. My wife was never able to back a trailer down a boat ramp. $142 at HitchSource.com

Waiting to see one installed. Wouldn't mind one for a front rack for surf fishing

Those are handy if you have a mobile/removeable winch.

Good morning, Rich. Could you help me out and measure the height of the front and rear trailer hitch mount opening to see if they are the same? I am ready to order the front hitch but want to make sure I can use the ball point I have installed in the rear hitch.

Looks good. Seriously considering this for surf fishing if I cant think of a decent design for the bed. Thanks

The truck is not on level ground so I can't get you an accurate measurement but the center of the front hitch is 4" below the bottom of the license plate bracket. Hopefully you can figure it out from that.

Id be curious if it could be installed on top of the crossbeam to get more height. But the weight specs seem lousy.
