I am so I-anything ignorant. Bit i do like the idea of my tablet being my dash display. Is android possible? If not, does the Ipad need to have wireless service to it to work proper? Or can i just go walmartand get a wifi only pad?

I haven't done it with an android tablet yet, and I don't have any plans to make a design for a dash piece for one, either. I only use iDevices when it comes to mobile devices. All of my desktops are windows based, but I truly do prefer iOS when it comes to the in dash UI.

You don't need to have a data connection, but it does help to expand your options!

Turn it into a trip find another vendor or 2 out this way and plan a mini vacay. Maybe add some camping and some trails you have never hit before. Andenture

I'm always happy to help with an install on these. I should have a detailed write up together soon to help those that I can't help in person.

Actually I started thinking about that shortly after I posted it. A trip would be fun. I'm going to have to look up some trails. Make it into a fishing trip with the dad if he's interested. Ideas sparking in my head!

Great idea on iPad mini mounts !!!!

I use my iPad mini 4 - 128 GB ... in my vehicle all the time for everything, except it is not mounted. It is much better than many of the factory Nav or Audio controls.

    Hi All,

This service will no longer be offered. Thanks to everyone who supported it, but I just don't have the throughput to support it right now. Any of you who have already placed orders and are still waiting for your iPad kit will receive it ASAP.

Think you will still make these in limited quantities as time permits?

Probably not. There is another factor at play here which essentially prohibits me from making these anymore.

Fair enough.... Regardless it was a very impressive design that you made. The fitment looked great! Can tell a lot of thought and time went into the finished product.

Wow that's a shame, best setup I've seen for a Tacoma. I'm so glad I was able to get one before this happened.
