I just bought a 3" toytec lift *coil springs, not spacers* Im wondering how big of a tire/wheel i can run. I want to run either 16x8 or 17x9 mickey thompson classic 2 or 3s. Ive read that with a 17x9 i need 4.5 bs and a 12mm offset. Can somebody shed light on this and help me out? Im wanting a wider stance, not tucked in like factory. Also will i be able to run a 285x70 tire w/out alot of cutting? Thanks for any info

Here's what my previous truck looked like with 3" lift, 285/70R17 tires, and 17x9 4.5" BS wheels. I had to do a fair amount of trimming/cutting to get them to fit. I needed to do a CMC, but never did. They rubbed on the frame often.

Did they rub on asphalt or just when wheeling? Mine is my daily driver so no offroading. Just wondering?

Off road it rubbed a lot. On road it only rubbed when full turn in reverse. It didn't cause any damage though. It just wore the paint off the frame where it rubbed. Doing CMC would have solved it.
