I'm pretty much done for a while....Couldn't find my exact truck here in Vegas. So my buddy in KC (I used to live there) found me one in Kansas. white DC TRD OR Auto with JBL Premium. Flew to KC and drove it back to vegas.

Sticker $39,158. got about $1700 off, but i bought pre paid maint and 100K extended warranty. Just below $40K out the door.

    Here's what I have done:
    • Started with Toytec Lift, Total Chaos UCA and AAL in rear. $2650 installed. Maximum Off Road in Vegas. Went with Red over the silver cause it matches my plan to have red accent color with the black and white. I got a total of 2.75in lift before wheels and tires. Slight rub in extreme conditions. But never on street.
    • Next, 17in wheels and 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country AT II. With tire certificate, mounted, balanced, out the door $1700.
    • LED Interior light package with license plate- around $30 https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-interior-lights.396266/
    • Gentex Mirror swap with Homelink buttons - $250 Bob's mirrors
    • Window tint. He did all windows including a visor strip. ended up with 18% all around and i am very happy with it. $209 Eco Tint Las Vegas
    • OEM Bed Mat - $85 eBay
    • Dipped the grill Black with Red TRD Emblem. Super easy. Just do lots of coats. $20. Also dipped the center caps on my wheels because they looked stupid.
    • Took off my V6 emblem. Can't decide if I'm gonna dip the tacoma emblems. Once i get them off I may not want to put them back on.
    • Installed my Escort 9100 Remote Radar detector. It's a bitch. Consists of two front Laser shifter/detectors, front radar detector, rear laser, GPS antenna, control buttons, speaker, display and main hub. This took some time and planning.

Thanks. YOU sir have a very nice truck! I'm pissed they discontinued TRD superchargers. I am confident I would have got one for my 2016.

My Toytec lift looks similar, but doesn't have the same rear shocks. Mine was the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit. Is yours the BOSS kit? I also put on 17 inch wheels with 275/70/17 and still have some rubbing when turning into a driveway that has a dip. Mainly on the left. They even trimmed part of the frame away. Were you able to put on mudflaps?

I think i have the boss kit. I know the rear shocks say "boss" on them. I have 285/70/17 and i rarely rub. in fact, i got crazy and almost did some jumps trying to get it to rub. and it didn't. He took off my front mudflaps and didn't put them back on. said it would rub for sure. i would ditch the mud flaps.

oh, very good. didn't realize there was a special place for build pages. I'm new. Can you actually "move" a thread or do i have to delete and make a new one?

    Thanks!

Very rarely. Not on the streets. Only time is if the front end really comes down hard on a full turn off road. I may do a cmc someday. That's all you would need. 99% it's just fine.

I'm debating 285s or 275s. Don't want to cut my rig

Tough call. I don't about your lift. I wish tire shops would let you try things on like a clothing store. All I know is what I can tell you I have. You saw my lift and everything. And the 285 are just fine for me. Good luck!! Post a pic
