DTC PO402. Excessive EGR flow. EGR valve tests good. All vacuum lines look good. Replaced the VSV, still getting the code. Only 2 things left to test, EGR temp. sensor and the vacuum modulator. It didn't make sense, the truck idles and runs great. The data stream showed the engine temperature was low, it also shows EGR temp. After talking about this with other mechanics I found out that was the problem. The computer was seeing a low EGR temp.because the engine wasn't getting up to proper temp. Replaced the thermostat and cleared codes. After the drive cycle I checked the monitors and all was good. Passed smog with no problem.
