Not just the automatics. My 6-speed seemed to apply way too much throttle for small hills on the interstate. Dealership did the gas pedal mod (as least the software part) when they replaced my DRL's. Cruise improved 100% - it eases into the throttle for uphill, and eases off downhill, just like all the vehicles I've previously owned.

They will trim a bit off the bottom of the pedal to prevent it catching on floor mats (remember the big uproar about "unintended acceleration" a few years ago?) and update the software to include the brake interlock programming as well as all other updates and inprovements to the software.

I must not be very picky glass is half full kind of guy because I don't find the cc that bad. Its not the most precise on hilly roads sure but on an open road it works just fine.
I merdge onto the interstate set her at 66 MPH and smooth sailing. I can see it being more pesky loaded down or with a trailer though such conditions are pushing the limits of cc which is really only a comfort thing anyway.

You should see cc on a semi utter waste if time unless you are dead head.

Hey, OP, one of the problems with the cruise on a 4 cylinder truck is that the transmission is only a 4 speed, with 4th being an overdrive gear. There is a pretty big jump from 3rd to 4th, particularly when the converter is locked, so as the truck begins to bog down going up hills, it has to unlock, then downshift into 3rd to get back in the power band of the engine. Not a lot you can do to change that, unfortunately.
