Best TRD Sport & Offroad Alternative Grill Options Currently

Lovin' the SR grille on my TRD Sport even more than I thought it would. Makes the grille blend in with the rest of the front end and doesn't seem so damn huge now.

 

Looks good. I was debating between that and the BAMF grill. I went with the BAMF grill.

Kind of a toss up to me between the BAMF and the Custom Car Grills with just the TRD emblem in the bottom corner. I like how the BAMF has depth but I feel like there already is a ton of "branding" on this truck so the plain grill with just the subtle TRD emblem is nice. Decisions, decisions

 

I may be biased but @JLee did it right. To me there is no comparison and there are hardly any pics of them installed. FWIW, he did say that center piece for the lettering will be removable, as it is riveted to the grille, and you could basically have him machine any sort of lettering combination you wanted. Or nothing at all. Or maybe a black backing plate in lieu of the color matched one will make it more subtle, if that is the look you are after?

 

I removed the grill and plastidipped it this weekend. Removal is super easy (especially with all the room between the grill and the radiator!). Just two screws on top and six plastic pop-up rivets. Takes 5 minutes to remove or install.

I am really happy with the results. $10 of plastidip has soothed my urge to run out and buy an aftermarket grill!

 

The center section is removable we will have lots of options for the center bar.

 

JLee convinced me lol. BAMF grill ordered. My truck better get here soon, I keep buying stuff for it haha

@Soonertaco: Did the T-Rex grill come with the 'Toyota' in white, or did you purchase that separately. I can't seem to find a sample on their site that allows customizing with the center lettering.

 

The T-Rex grille did not come with the logo. OEM part number is

$65 75311-90K00 7531190K00

75311-90K00. I purchased it from the customcargrills.com website. I believe it's for a Landcruiser. Installed with 3M auto trim tape.

You might be able to find it a little cheaper since it is an oem part, but most places I looked it is about $34 or $35 bucks.

Jay what are some other options going to be? Im interested in an aftermarket grill, but nothing has totally struck what I want. I like your grill but the toyota is just too large. I also like the Rad grill, but not 100% sold on fitment and the all black letters. I really do like the heritage toyota emblem, anything like that or smaller fonts going to be available?

The names Jerry and nothing like the FJ logo will be available you would have to source that emblem yourself. We have our signature letters those will be the only letters we offer as production models anything different will be considered custom and have that price tag.
