Got a LED tailgate light bar for my birthday last week and it has the option to wire in for the reverse light. In video i watched on youtube about the real truck.com video shows how to install the wire from the led light bar in to the positive lead to have it turn on when the reverse lights come on he uses a connector that simply wraps around it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QjmrSqjHa4 (go to 2:15) for when the part is used

Could some one link me to this part?

I would like to install a light bar similar to this. Does'nt this install cover up the hole for the crank handle for spare tire access?

yes it can. my first install was in the way when i went to swap tires out, had to take the whole thing off but i was lucky to be doing it all in my driveway at the time anyway.

i did re position it to where the hole was accessible and the light was able to be seen after this though.

i really havnt found a company that lasts form much more than a year. cheap or expensive they just dont seem to last so i no longer have one

I have one that I got from Academy about 7 years ago. Don't remember the brand, but it is still working and all LEDs still work.

The instructions state plug the light bar into the flat pin trailer connection on bumper. Does anyone know if you can remove the flat pin from the housing? I purchased a Y harness so I will have the flat pin to hook up to my boat.

    Thanks
