    Seen a new taco today and it looked like it had a factory skid plate off a 05-15 model? Do they fit without alot of dickin around?

    Speaking of skid plates after i do a 6 inch lift will i won't be able to use my factory OR one. anybody think that will be anything somebody will want to buy.

    LoL sorry - didn't mean it in that sense. I haven't heard anything regarding the old model skids to the new model, but in an interview when they talk about the TRD Pros skid plate (which I assume will become available for the 2016+ models) it sounded like they have made changes to how the skid plate will attach due to model changes.

    Wife in passenger seat, not driver seat :)
    I would buy it if I can convince my wife it's something I need (to which she will reply "learn to wheel and you won't need it")
    Might have to do a road trip to California

    I had a 2010, seeing as how I had to remove my skid plate due to severe damage.... Pretty sure they have remodeled the 3rd gen skid plate...


    I can't confirm this, but I'm pretty sure Toyota would redesign the skud plate just to make more money on aftermarket purchases. Making it interchangeable between 2nd and 3rd gen trucks would probably not be something Toyota would do. Just a thought
