The worst I've seen is up by old forge New York (snow mobile country). I have witnessed 1999-2005 gen silverados rotted halfway up to the middle of the doors....all the way around. And I really don't think those guys care much about it, but then again I've seen a person burying his truck in his yard up there too, so that might not mean much. I've seen a ton of second gens up there doing fine, but I haven't seen a first gen yet. Perhaps they have turned into top soil.....

Really though hard about the Inferno color but my wife said, absolutely not (she said not the way I drive, every cop in town will know where we live, lol). I do like silver though. I am thinking hard about the manual?

I thought it was a pretty good deal as well. I got the quote from a dealership in Milwaukee through the Costco program.

They started using a mixture of salt and water (brine) here in Wisconsin a few years ago. It's supposed to stick on the roads and melt snow and ice more effectively. Unfortunately, it's significantly more corrosive on metal then traditional rock salt/sand. Still debating on rust proofing vs fluid film.

Inferno DCSBOR in stick is what I really want next. It's such a rare/unique combo. That said, if they didn't make the orange, it would be the silver.

Try true car and pin dealers next to each other. That's what I did and I got my Truck for 30,xxx instead of 34,500. Also be willing to drive out of state for a better deal.

I think I'm going to keep doing my fluid film because it seems to be holding up pretty well, and it's cheap(meaning I can do it myself). If you do it, just make sure you don't get any on the exhaust, otherwise your car will smell like burning hair.

I too don't really know what to buy but I have some time. I need to drive my 2013 maxima for another year to get it paid off. I drive about 50k miles/year for work and they give me a $525 allowance and a has card. I got rid of my 2010 Ram too soon when gas was so high to help the company out, but won't do that again. I like all the bells and whistles my max has but hate the size. I'd love a full size truck again but I want to park in my garage and the ease of getting into general parking spaces. The ram was so easy to back in places but hated pulling in.

I LOVE the look of the OR and sports with black wheels and KO2 or the Cooper off roads.

That TRD Pro simplifies everything for me though. It's got everything I need out the gate, but at a premium.

Thinking I might drive it for 5 years 200,000 miles and hand it over to my kid who will be 11 this year. He'd be driving once I was done with it.

I wish I could drop that 5.7 from your Dodge into a Tacoma?! That truck would haul ass!
