well, I purchased a stock OEM clutch, pressure plate and bearing and the dealer is covering the labor...I figured since the truck is still under the powertrain warranty this was the best route so any future problems, which i believe will arise will be covered without a struggle...I will save the URD stage 3+ clutch for when the stock one burns out after 30K miles....dealer was willing to install the URD uprgrade kit if I purchased it...

Why do you think the stock clutch will go out in 30K miles?

Maybe he is acknowledging that he doesn't know how to operate a manual transmission?

If you can roast out a clutch within 30k miles then your a special kind of stupid and don't deserve a manual. My first truck was as a 5-speed will 136,000 and clutch looked brand new not even a single heat spot

I do get that. I was giving a little of my background so it didn't come off like I was slamming him without having "been there done that" myself, which I have.

However, like it or not, from the dealers perspective it's all the same... You changed parts out, now something closely related failed. They have the right to refuse service....

I dont know anything about your actual issue. And this is my 2cents...but I tried buying a white 15 Pro from them about a week ago, and it was the worse car buying experience of my life...ever..since the creation of the wheel..thanks to Del Toyota of PA for the black Pro.

This is part of the reason shop rates are so expensive, I wish the dealer would have told you to pound fucking sand. Now society has to bear the burden of correcting your flawed ill advised "mad tyte" clutch install yo... :jerkoff:

Let me guess, you installed the "mad tyte" racing clutch yerself?

Uh huh... :notsure: Just slap a new part in there and drive it like ya stole it.
