You can leave the re-circulation on by keeping the button held down after you have activated it for a few seconds. That will make re-circulation permanent until you decide to turn it to the fresh air vents.

    1. Well if my 06 taco did it was not noticeable I just drove my wife's 2012 Buick LaCrosse and that does not do it. the 2016 tacoma that I traded my 06 in on doesn't so much it feels like the blowers on.

I'm with the OP. I've had 1 Mercury and 2 Chevys before this and none of them had this feature. The air would get stale in those vehicles real quick if you didn't turn the fan on and at least set it to vent. As far as I know, our 2010 rav4 does not either, but will check for sure the next time I drive it. Not a big deal though.

I've also never had a vehicle where so much heat came out of the top vents when it is set to floor. I don't mind this too much either, but makes the top vent / floor vent "together" option redundant in my opinion.

Thanks. Guess I should read the fabulous manual (RTFM) on occasion. :anonymous:

Some do it a lot more than others, just depends on how everything is engineered, every vehicle is different. My work vehicle (scion xb) blows like a cheap hooker. My f150 you wouldn't even notice it

My 06 was not really BLOWING, but there was always air coming through unless you use recirc. As stated above, only Fords don't do this.
