brake controller install for 2016?

I picked up a 2016 Tacoma with tow pkg and need to install a brake controller. Was wondering if anyone here has done this on 3rd Gen and if it's as easy to do as 2nd Gen? Thanks

 

I plugged this one in and it has been working great. Tekonsha P3 with the 2015-2016 Tundra harness.

I installed a Tenkosha ^^^^ in my 2014 Toyota Sequoia it was way easy, all plug and play. Took longer to decide where to mount it. Works good.

 

The 16 Tacoma takes a tundra harness?

 

Yes it does. I believe a lot of the wiring if from the tundra. There is a towing thread here somewhere. It is a plug and play unit.

is the harness the wire bundle i found in my glovebox?

 

No, I didn't get the harness. Prob have call dealer. I doo have the one from my 15 though

 

There is no harness that comes with the 16. You need to order one. The receiver in in the driver side kick panel.
