Well, Houston we have a problem. I drove several vehicles, all either 4x4 SR-5, Sport or Off-road. I decided I wanted another color which they stated they had in 4x4. I did a quick once over and we then went in to do the deal. Well, on the way home last night, I look down...no 4x4 knob. I turned around immediately and the Sales Manager was there. He told me to come back in the AM and he'd get me a 4x4 in the exact same vehicle. I can't believe I missed it but every truck we looked at was definitely 4x4 so I just assumed this one was and there is no doubt he knew that was a must for me. Fingers crossed gents

 

And, I sure will mate!

Im hoping the dealer makes this right. All the vehicles I looked at were definitely 4x4. I asked if he had a white one and stated he did and drove it around. We did the deal and as I left the lot, I noticed the knob was not there. I turned around and spoke to the Sales manager. He told me it was no problem and to come back in the morning(they were closing as I left). I went in this morning and the Sales Manager stated that he would have to find me one like I wanted and to expect to hear back from him by 2 oclock today. Most folks tell me that its no problem... anyone have experience with something like this? I know its a meathead mistake on my part, but the salesman(who was quite young) knew that was the centerpiece of my concerns with the vehicle and 4wd was a must. Fingers crossed.

 

I think you have a couple days to bring it back anyway by law, but not sure how many days you have. Welcome from NoVA btw.
