How / where did you mount the on/off switch?

That's why I am going to buy the model that has it and then put on better suspension, lift, wheels and tires and it will out perform the PRO for the same or cheaper price.

I ordered new badges from Toyota that are factory black. The font is not exactly the same and they are a little smaller but I think the look better than OEM. I used a heat gun and fishing string to cut the old ones off. I put painters tape where the old ones were and installed the new ones.

Before I joined the army I use to volunteer at a local firehouse. My dream job actually. I tried to enlist as a firefighter too, but no openings...

Back to the point... Just being honest here.. But I use to keep a work shirt in my old car... More than once that volunteer firefighter shirt saved me from a ticket.

Joint... Beer... Whiskey.... There is a time and place for everything... But it's not while driving.

BTW, I haven't smoked it either.... Today.

    Haha :D

I never asked for special treatment if thats what you're insinuating, or was that a question? Great motto, reasonably fair. I will admit I am not a hypocrite on duty either.

I cut the universal switch off that it came with and mounted a Toyota light up blue light bar one from Amazon in the blank spot on the left of the steering wheel. Ill try and get a pic posted tonight when I get off work.

These guys are being a little tough on you. I get what they're saying... it gives us non-LEOs a bitter taste in our mouths that the States have created these ridiculous laws. LEO abuse their power by enforcing these laws when it works to their advantage while also giving their compadres the blind eye to those same unreasonable laws.

With that said... the reality is that LEOs have little control of what laws they are asked to enforce. And most cops are reasonable. I don't think you were implying that you 'deserve' to be treated any differently. Just that you may be get away with something we all try to do....

Long story short... the legal system is a mess.

    P.s. Nice Truck!

To piggy back, to my knowledge LEOs can't enforce other states Laws. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

So, if by chance your car is registered in another state, they would be hard pressed to cite you for breaking a tint law in their state. Your car could be quite legal where its registered.

There are plenty of legal reasons why you could live in one state, and registered in another.

Sure can't. An LEO (Non-Federal) can only enforce the laws in the state where he or she has obtained their certification [(P.O.S.T.) here in California]
