Hey guys, I was wondering if there was any place on the 3.4 V6 that I could tap into so I can run a thermostat for my electric fan controller? The controller I have came with a radiator probe and it's really not the best of quality. I was thinking about maybe drilling a hole in the thermostat housing and install one that way but just wanted to check and see if there was already an unused threaded hole that I could use. Oh and btw please do not tell me that an electric fan is a waste of time of I'm better off going back to the stock fan. I get so tired of hearing that. It's my truck and my problem so please don't waste my time or yours thanks!

Not familiar with the Derale but the probe should work fine of the pic on their website is any indication. My Flexalite is way cheaper than that and I have no issues.
I use my Scangauge to verify when the fans come on.

I have a flexalite dual fan and I was using their controller. But it's really cheaply made and it crapped out on me. The Derale controllers are better made but the only problem with it is the probe. I'd rather have a sensor tapped into the coolant vs a cheap probe stuck through the radiator

Hey Paul I have the flex light fan set up on mine.I have 440,000 miles on it with 375,000 miles on the fans.Have gone through 1 fan motor and one controller in that time.I called Flexlight service line and they bent over backwards to take care of me.Talk to David Hutmaker. He will probably be able to help you.

If it's a thin probe stick it under the top radiator hose and re clamp it.
