Hello guys , i have a 01 tacoma double cab with a custom 3.5 kit up front running a king 2.5x8 coilover (600lb spring) with custom shock hoops as well. In the rear im running F55 deaver pack with total chaos 8" shackles through frame with King 2.5x16 2 tube bypasses i bought used and threw on my truck when i recently got the rear done. Im a noob when it comes to shock tubing , i understand the basic of shims but i dont even know where to start . I feel my front and rear of my truck are way too stiff , going 30 through a mild whoop section mmakes my truck almost wanna jump off the whoops , like skipping . The back bucks but not from bottoming out. I have no idea what shims are inside but if anyone could help me out with a starting point or what common setups are . The bypasses are mounted inside the frame rails . My type of driving im looking to set my truck up for is harder dirt desert terrain , mainly whoops sections . Occasionaly ill take it to the dunes twice a year , it is also my Daily driver.

For the rear try an 8 stack for rebound and 15 for compression. All bleeds open. That is a start. May need to bump compression up to 20. Run the rebound tube full open and the compression tube half way open.

If you want help with getting the truck dialed. Video a flyby over some stuff where you aren't happy and post it on here using YouTube.

I would try .008" for rebound. With the rebound tube nearly full open. And compression begin with 12 Stack. Or top three bigger shims .012 and the others .015" if you have them. 150PSI Nitrogen. Also make sure the leafs pivots are greased and shackle and leaf pivots are not killer tight on the bolts or else it will have and effect on the way it handles.
