**This Group Buy is open NOW. There is no minimum member requirement for this GB. However Overland Solar expressed they would like to see around 20 members participate for it to be worthwhile for them**

I'm putting together a new Group Buy for an item that hasn't been offered much. I've been working with Overland Solar to figure out the details, and what we want to offer. I'll be offering 3 different solar kits on this Group Buy. This Group Buy is coming straight from Overland Solar, and the discount was determined by them.

This is going to be a quick Group Buy that will close on Sunday the 13th. All orders placed, and shipped to the lower 48 will ship for FREE. All orders will ship the same day, and will via FedEx. There will be a Discount Code created for this Group Buy that will be given out at the end of the Group Buy. This code will only be valid for a certain number of days once the Group Buy is over.

    There kits as below:
*28 Watt Ultra Portable Solar Charger
*60 Watt, 3-Panel Folding Solar Kit
*90 Watt, 3-Panel Folding Solar Kit

    28 Watt Ultra Portable Solar Charger - Free Shipping! 10% Discount & FREE SHIPPING, $188.99 x .90 = $170.09 (GB Price)

When you need real power but space is a factor we have the solution. Measuring only 9x6 inches when closed and weighing only 3.2 pounds this 28 watt monocrystal solar charger is ultra portable and can charge your devices no matter where you are. Use the included array of laptop adapters for direct charging. The additional USB port is also a simple plug and charge solution. Unlike smaller units under 21 watts this charger can still function in less than great weather. Two day priority shipping is included!

That I do. I'm just trying to talk myself out of the "You wont even use it as much as you'd like to".

That's what the small kits are good for. For those just in case situations. But if you have a fridge or plan on getting one they'll get used more than you think.

Not a fridge, but in the future I would like to have one to power some small stuff such as fans or enough power to recharge cycle battery in a reasonable amount of time. Until then, that's why I say I should wait.
However, the group buy does make it extra tempting to pull the trigger on one. Especially with the wattage for that price because I've seen 15w for around that price.

I've just started looking into solar panels so I still have a lot to learn, with that said, will the 60 watt panel plug into something like an Arkpak or does it only hardwire directly to the truck battery?

You can wire these to the Arkpak. The panels are portable, and can be easily moved. The Arkpak is mainly a batter that still needs to be charged. You'll just have to wire it up like anything else. I can find out some more details about that just to be on the safe side.

I haven't pick one up yet, still deciding on the best route to power the truck fridge I picked up recently. In the linked thread below there is some discussion about them, mostly positive from the people who have them. I like the fact it's a portable unit, and can be used at the house during a power outage.
