Just curious if there's any way to set the stereo to turn off, say, when you open the doors, instead of right when you push the button to turn the ignition off. All other cars I've owned had that delay, where once the engine is turned off the radio stays on for a few minutes or until the door opens.

I did a forum search and read the manual, so hopefully I'm missing it somewhere. Perhaps it's an obd setting or something. If it matters I have the '16 DCLB sport w/JBL. My '15 had the delay, so I'm hoping it's possible.

    Thanks.

Holy cow. If Toyota counted beans and cut costs by removing that feature I'm going to Ford. Why are people taking out $40k loans for a truck with 1980s tech.

If you have the auto trans, if you shut the truck off while you are NOT in park, it will leave the radio (and other stuff I can't remember) powered.

Check out the hints and tips thread. That's where I learned this tip.

[Edit: See Tip 35: "If the engine is running just press Push to Start button in any shift (R-N-D or S)except in P and radio won't go off. (Courtesy of abec)"

You could do an accessory/timed relay hack. You would have to download electrical schematics from tech stream and put 2+2 together. However it's doable.

What is the best way to get wiring diagrams? Has anyone done that yet for the 2016?
